Gunmen kills FIRS Director, Lawal

Gunmen on Sunday opened fire and killed Alhaji Mohammadu Kudu Lawal, a Director with the Federal Inland Revenue Agency (FIRS).

The deceased was said to be on his way to Abuja, when he ran into gunmen in an official Hilux van.

CAPITAL POST learnt that another staff of the FIRS who was shot alongside the deceased sustained serious injuries as both were attacked at Saminaka village of Lapai Local Government Area (LGA) in Niger State.

The gunmen were said to have rained bullets at random on the vehicle made Lawan died of bleeding.

The late Director was the State Coordinator for Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara States.
