2023: NNPP unveils Nyisana as governorship running mate
Ahead of 2023 governorship election in Nasarawa state, New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Abdullahi Yakubu Maidoya has unveiled a former lawmaker, Hon. Adams Gwamna Nyisana as his running mate.
At the unveiling ceremony on Wednesday, Maidoya stated that few weeks ago, leaders of the party have met in search of capable hands as running mate and they finally arrived at Hon. Nyasina who happened to be a former member of the State Assembly.
“Before chosing Hon. Nyasina, our party leaders have critically examined the political terrain entirely, considered culture, ethnicity and religious sharp division.
He explained that this is the first of it’s kind that a Gwagi person is being nominated as deputy governor since the inception of present democracy in 1999.
“Our findings revealed that other political parties picked their running mates from Akwanga and Lafia zones and after careful study the scenario we decided to go for, Keffi have been considered a large number of voters in that zone.
The NNPP, candidate also stated that the party did not only stop at the choice of running mate alone but, extended to large number of tribes who can make our dreams come true.
“After all ups and downs we came to realized that, Gwagi people are the most peaceful ethics group in the state.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Adams Gwamna Nyisana thanked the governorship candidate and the party for the confidence reposed on him and Gwagi people in the journey.
He assured that, “With the gesture extended to all Gwagi people, victory of NNPP governorship election is assured. He said.
Hon. Nyasina promised to use his wealth of experience as lawmaker to bring to bear in moving the state forward as they clinched the seat.
Also the national deputy Organising Secretary, North Central, Umar Faruk Adamu Auta, said victory will repeat itself in the state.
“That’s why we in, NNPP we present to you our gubernatorial candidate in person of Hon. Abdullahi Yakubu Maidoya without mindful that, APC, is in power.
