AIG sustains injury, orderly killed in ambush by unknown gunmen in Bauchi
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 12, Audu Adamu Madaki was on Tuesday ambushed by unknown gunmen at
Barde Zangidi area of Bauchi State.
CAPITAL POST learnt that the AIG alongside his convoy was ambushed and sustained injuries, while his prderly was killed in the noon day.
Irked by the incident the State governor, Senator Bala Mohammed insisted that the people would not surrender their sovereignty to terrorists, saying that “We will rise up to defend ourselves against any intrusion”.
The governor lamented the high rate of killing in the State by bandits and terrorists across the State in recent times.
The governor promised that that the State government will set up its own local vigilante group to work closely with security agencies to neutralize the bandits and fish out their collaborators within the communities.
He warn the people not to collaborate on with criminals gangs, saying that government would deal decisively with such person, no matter. how highly placed.
