FG shuts down colleges over imminent terrorists attack
Following security threats targeting Federal Government owned Colleges, the Federal Ministry of Education has ordered the immediate closure of Federal Government Colleges.
The directive on Monday said, parents should get to all Federal Government Colleges and evacuate their wards across the Federal Capital Territory.
The information was confirmed by the Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr Bem Goong on Monday in Abuja.
He said, there was rising insecurity whichbhas become a serious threat to the wellbeing of the vulnerable children in particular, hence, the closure was the best way to go now.
CAPITAL POST was yet to know if the FCT owned Colleges would follow suit, as no information has been released from the authority yet.
Our correspondent, however, learnt that all the FCT owned Colleges are currently writing their third term examination papers.
