Ahead of 2023 general election, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) should be voted back into office even as the APC government has served Nigerians efficiently, Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has said.

The Minister spoke on Sunday on Channels Television programme that “any right-thinking” person should vote APC again.

Change of Name

He reacted to question about Nigerians’ perception of the APC, even as the party prepares for the 2023 general election.

He expressed confidence that APC would be re-elected based on the its performance which he maintained was better than previous administrations

“Nigerians have had the opportunity of two governments,” he said.

“On a very deep reflection, right-thinking and well-meaning Nigerians will re-elect our party into governance, I am optimistic about that.

“I think we have served this country as efficiently as we can — in the most difficult of times.

Fashola cited successes in the handling of COVID-19 and also added that no previous administrations have faced with global economic meltdown, but the present administration did and succeeded in managing the economy well enough.

“I’m optimistic that we will win.”
