The former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s aide, Mr Reno Omokri has revealed that the presidential running mate in the 2023 general election, Senator Kashim Shettima, arranged fake Bishops and Priests for his unveiling which took place on Wednesday in Abuja.
Controversy has been trailing the presence of acclaimed Bishops and Clergies who were dressed in cassock and in different robes at the event.
There have been wild outrage since Wednesday which were yet to settle till the time of this report, even as Christian umbrella bodies like the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN); Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) insisted that the so-called Bishops were hired, fake and unknown to them.
Even those who are conversant with the wearing of robes have concluded that the Bishops were fake and impostors hired to create the impression of an acceptance of the Muslim-Muslim ticket by the Christian community.
For Omokri, he believes Shettima – and not Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential flagbearer – is the brain behind the scene.
“The fake bishops were arranged by Shettima, not Tinubu. Watch this video. Notice Shettima said “I want to pay tribute to 30 bishops”. How did he know their number? He sat on the podium. Did he count them? The only way he could have known is because he arranged it!” Omokri wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
