Kogi Assembly rejects confirmation of Kingsley Fanwo to serve as Commissioner
Kogi State House of Assembly on Wednesday rejected the confirmation of Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, a former State Commissioner for Information and Communications.
His confirmation was turned down during the House plenary which was presided by the Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole as the House could not concur on the motion that would have confirmed him.
The Speaker ruled that the Commissioner designate would have to reappear in the next adjourned date as the House not concur on his confirmation.
Kingsley Fanwo contested for Kogi State House of Assembly in the just concluded primary election and lost on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), but was reappointed to serve as Commissioner by governor Yahaya Bello.
He was to represent Yagba Federal Constituency, but was defeated by his rival, and son of the former acting governor of Kogi State, Hon. Clarence Olafemi, Folorunsho.
