Sunday’s shootings by the hoodlums took place at the major flag points in the town, thereby sent panics among residents of Ado-Ekiti.

Commuters and residents close to the place of sporadic shootings scampered for safety while gunshots lasted.

An eye witness account had it that, Sunday’s gun battle was a spill over of Saturday’s political crisis between loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Also, Sunday services were disrupted, as worshippers who were set out for Sunday services turned back and while others planning to go to Church stayed in doors throughout.

There were reports that two lives were lost in Saturday’s crisis involving the rival political parties.

No lives were lost in Sunday’s crisis, while the Nigerian Police Command in Ado-Ekiti was yet to issue a statement.
