BREAKING: Killers of Fasoranti’s daughter, Funke to die by hanging – Ondo Court

At last Justice has been served as an Ondo High Court on Friday sentences killers of Olufunke Olakuri to death by hanging.

Our correspondent who monitored Friday’s Court proceeding in the criminal trial of arsonists reports that they were guilty as charged for killing the daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

The three killers were found guilty and sentenced accordingly by the presiding Judge, Justice William Olamide of an Ondo High Court sitting in Akure.

However, the fourth suspect, Auwala Abubakar who is the Spokesman for the Miyetti Allah, a Fulani Socio-Cultural group was discharged and acquitted.

Olufunke was gunned down in June 2019 by gunmen in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State and was buried few days after.

The killers were apprehended six months after her gruesome murder and were immediately arraigned in Court.
