BREAKING: Tinubu leading in 2023 presidential primary
Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu is so far leading other aspirants in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries that is ongoing at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The delegates convention which started on Monday lasted till Wednesday morning with delegates casted their votes throughout Tuesday night after they have been addressed by the aspirants.
Results so far shows the former governor of Lagos State leading with 1,515 as at 12.00 pm on Wednesday with the former governor of Rivers State, Chief Rotimi Amaechi as second runner up with 302, while the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo came third with 214 votes.
The has not been officially announced yet but figures obtained by our correspondent who monitor the exercise reveals that Ahmed Bola Tinubu is far ahead of others and is currently coasting to victory.
Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello polled 40 votes to clinch fifth position. He earlier claimed to have delegates in his kitty and threatened fire and brimstone if his name was excluded from the contestation.
If Tinubu is eventually announced as the QPC’s 2023 flagbearer, he would be facing the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the general election.
