Breaking: PDP State Chairman, Ngbede emerges deputy governorship candidate in Benue
Benue State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr John Ngbede has been picked as the deputy governorship candidate for 2023 general election.
Benue State governor, Mr Gabriel Ortom disclosed this on Sunday evening.
He stated this during an expanded meeting of the party where the governorship candidate and other flagbearers were present at the banquet hall of the People’s House, Makurdi.
The deputy governorship candidate hails from Obagaji in Agatu Local Government Council of Benue State.
He was said to be committed to the ideals of the Peoples Democratic Party for a long time which his zone has never produced governor of Benue State among the four Federal Constituencies
of Benue South, including the Idoma-speaking area.
Ngbede will be deputising Rt. Hon. Titus Uba, the current Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, who emerged as the guber flag bearer of the party from Vandeikya local government of the state.
