Plateau APC will work for victory of governorship flagbearer in 2023 – State Chairman

The Plateau State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has assured its gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming general election of total victory.

The State Chairman of the party, Hon. Rufus Bature disclosed on Thursday in Jos, while on a courtesy visit to the party flag bearer, Dr Nentawe Yilwada at his Rayfield residence.

Change of Name

According to the chairman, the party will ensure total victory at the polls come 2023 and said they were working toward putting a campaign structure that will be wholistic.

He further stressed that the party will reach out far and near to attain victory over other critical stakeholders. He disclosed, the visit was to come and identify with him and to let him know of their support.

He said the party provided a level playing ground for every aspirant calling on those who either lost, withdrew or walked out of the contest to come back home and work for the party.

Responding, the APC governorship candidate Dr Nentawe Yilwada assured the party of continued loyalty and praised them for providing the level playing field that provided the process that led to his election as the party flag bearer.

He promised to work closely with the party hierarchy for victory come 2023 as he was already reaching out to other aspirants and has met with quite a good number of them on the need to close ranks and ensure the party wins.

He said, he is planning on engaging other aspirants who lost at the recently conducted party primaries for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senatorial seats to a dinner where he intends to appeal to them to embrace their fate and work for the interest of the party.

He told the party leadership of plans to invite all those who won the party primaries for the various seats to dinner and urged the party to initiate a dinner for all gubernatorial aspirants that lost out so that they will appeal to them for support.

He said he was already in talks with all Plateau indigenes in the diaspora on the new dimension to the campaign on practical demonstration of what governance means.

In a similar vein, the gubernatorial candidate of the APC on the Plateau received various groups who came on courtesy pledging support to his ambition.

He told the various groups that he would be an exemplary governor matching words with action when he wins the governorship come next year.
