Kaduna PDP primaries: Namadi Sambo’s son duped, asks delegates to refund ‘N2 million for vote’
The son of the former Vice President Namadi Sambo has failed to clinch the Peoples Democratic Party’s ticket for Kaduna North Federal Constituency, despite offering N2 million to each delegates.
The aggrieved Namadi’s son, Adam, has requested for a refund since he couldn’t be voted during the primaries.
He got only two votes which was announced by the Returning Officer.
Sources said, he was so disappointed because he was assured of votes after delegates collected N2 million which he also promised to add N1.5 million to the amount given to each of the delegates, unfortunately, he lost to two other rivals.
The incumbent member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Hon. Samaila Suleiman who earlier defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress won the return ticket.
The source hinted that Hon. Suleiman gave N3.5 to N4 million to each delegates, another rival ABG distributed N2.5 million each to delegates.
Suleiman scored 22 votes, Alhaji Shehu Usman of ABG scored 14 votes, while Adam Namadi scored 2 votes.
However, having lost the contest, both ABG and Namadi demanded an immediate refund.
Suleiman, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Special Duties, left the APC following the interest of Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s eldest son in his seat at the green chamber.
