Plateau APC Chairman confirms Dr. Nentawe as APC registered member
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Plateau State, Hon. Rufus Bature has confirmed that the governorship aspirant of the party ahead of the 2023 elections, Dr. Nentawe Yilwada is a bonafide registered member of the party.
Bature denied granting an interview where he was quoted as saying that Dr. Nentawe Yilwada, is not a member of the party from the State.
The party Chairman while speaking to journalists on Sunday in Jos said he was not aware of the report and he never issued such statement or granted any interview in that regard.
Hon Bature explained that never had any journalist interacted with him about the membership of Dr. Nentawe and also promised that the party will take legal action against this fake news. “The writer of the news is an impostor who was visited by his relations from the pit of hell” Bature added.
“I have never met that writer and at no time i did grant an interview to him, let him come out and say the time and the venue”
“I want to make it categorically clear that Dr. Nentawe Yilwada one of our governorship aspirant is a bonafide member of the APC in the State”.
Bature disclosed that he will take legal action against the writer if he refused to withdraw the mischief and misleading publication within one week.
“I have given the writer one week to withdraw such baseless falsehood against me or else i will take immediate legal action on him”.
Bature also disclosed that the APC so far has only 9 governorship aspirant in the state to participate during the primaries election.
CAPITAL POST gathered that Dr.Nentawe Yilwatda who is one of the frontline APC guber aspirant and former Benue INEC REC applied for membership of the APC on the 6th of January and was approved 12th of January.
Meanwhile the APC in the State has condemned the destruction of its aspirants’ bill boards.
APC State Publicity Secretary Hon. Sylvanus Namang in a press statement signed and issued on Sunday in Jos said the party is deeply saddened by the act perpetrated by hooligans and therefore condemns it in very strong terms.
“The attention of the All Progressives Congress, APC Plateau State Chapter has been drawn to the destruction of the bill boards of some of its gubernatorial aspirants and a Federal House of Representatives aspirant at the entrance of the party’s Kalwa House Secretariat Yakubu Gowon Way.
“The APC as a law abiding party totally disapproves this unbecoming attitude and overzealousness and calls on security agents to keep close watch on its facilities especially the campaign bill boards which are veritable means of peomoting ànd projecting our great party.
“We appeal to the perpetrators of this dastardly act to desist forthwith from tempering with our esteemed aspirants’ bill boards and posters as anyone caught would face the full wrath of the law..
