The Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association Of Nigeria (MACBAN), is not part of the purchase of nomination form for the former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the presidential election in 2023, the National Vice president of the Association Alhaji Hussaini Yusuf Bosso has disclosed.
He stated that MACBAN has nothing to do with those behind the purchase of the form, saying that the association has distanced itself from those behind the purchase of the nomination form.
Speaking with Journalists in his office in Minna,
Thursday, Alhaji Hussaini Bosso said the association has no any political inclination and will not be allowed to be dragged into any political related issues.
It was widely reported in some media last week that the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association
of Nigeria (MACBAN) and some Almajiri group had bought nomination form for the former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest presidential election in 2023.
In a swift reaction to the report, the National Vice President of the association explained that the association has nothing to do with those behind the purchase of the nomination form, therefore, MACBAN distance itself from the purchase of the form.
“For the record, we in MACBAN has nothing to do with those behind the purchase of the nomination form. Also, our own association has nothing to do with politics not to even engage in any political activities.
“For some group of Fulani and Almajiri to associate MACBAN with the purchase of nomination form for Goodluck Jonathan the whole issue sound so strange to the entire members of the association” he declared.
According to the National Vice president of the association, MACBAN as a body are at the receiving end of the cattle rustlling, kidnapping, and the series of attacks by the armed bandits stating that if the association has the money to purchase nomination form for Goodluck Jonathan “we will use the money to replace our rustled animals in the hands of these cattle rustlers.”
He maintained that those behind the purchase of the form were only out to smear the good reputation of the association for their selfish reason describing them as mischievous set of people that derive pleasure in smearing people’s hard earned reputation for their wicked motives.
He however pointed out that the national leadership of MACBAN will not for any reason join issues with those mischief makers insisting that the association has nothing to do with politics and it will remain apolitical.
He disclosed that the association was formed to ensure the unification and promote harmonious relationship as well as peaceful co-existence among the Fulani nation and that according to him was the purpose of forming the (MACBAN),
