Soldier selling multi-million naira ammunition to terrorists in Zamfara State arrested
A military officer who allegedly sell multi-million naira arms and ammunition to terrorists in Zamfara has been arrested.
He was caught with 1,000 rounds of the same ammunition which he promised to sell the gunmen for N1 million by the soldiers who have been on vigilance on him.
The arrested soldier is attached to the
Forward Operations Base (FOB) in Galadi, Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
He was said to have been selling arms, ammunition and military uniform to terrorists worth millions of naira for quite some time now.
The officer who is identified as Bala Nura (19NA/78/3870) was apprehended by the military police on Wednesday and had confessed to the crime.
According to source, Nura confessed to selling 100 rounds of 7.62mm special each to the terrorists at the rate of N100,000.
