Terrorists were said to have ambushed a Brigadier General’s convoy while on his way to Jalingo with seven soldiers killed while the Brigadier General and his driver are missing.
The Brigadier General is the Commanding Officer of the 93 Battalion Takum in Taraba State.
He was ambushed while travelling to Jalingo, headquarters of Taraba State, according to military source.
A source said he was not certain if the Brigadier General was in the convoy but confirmed that his official vehicle was attacked by gunmen suspected to be terrorists.
Meanwhile, another source said the “whereabouts of the senior military officer and his orderly are unknown hours after the attack”.
Taraba State is in the North Eastern Nigeria and has been witnessing incessant attacks by terrorists for quite sometime now.
