Buhari’s aide reveals how EFCC gave Bauchi governor, Bala Mohammed N11 billion
Mrs Lauretta Onochie, Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, has revealed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) qave Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed N11 billion.
In a post on Mrs. Onochie’s official verified Twitter handle, seen by CAPITAL POST, Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed admitted that EFCC gave him 11 billion without which his administration would have been incapacitated.
According to her, Bala Mohammed has disclosed the receipt of the money in his briefing to journalists to mark his one year in office.
Onochie noted that the anti-graft agency helped Bala Mohammed’s government to recover the 11 billion naira.
Her Twitter followers have reacted to this statement.
One of them asked her, “if it is within the law for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC to give out money.
“Another stated that he is sure that the money was recovered from the past administration in the state led by the All Progressive Congress APC.
Alhaji Bala Mohammed is in his first tenure as Bauchi State governor on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, having defeated the inumbent who waa of the All Progressives Congress.
He was also the erstwhile Minister of the Federal Capital Territory during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
