2023: PDP governorship aspirant, Ombugadu foresees new Nasarawa, slams APC gov’t for woeful outing
Hon. David Emmanuel Ombugadu who formerly represented Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and a leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant has envisaged a new Nasarawa 2023.
To achieve this, he said, all hands must be on deck to ensure a re-entry of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming general election.
The ex-lawmaker slammed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, saying, Engr Abdullahi Sule has woefully failed to deliver on his campaign promises.
He lamented that three years after, the APC government in Nasarawa was still experimenting what democratic governance was all about.
In a statement which which he signed and sent to DAILY POST in Abuja on Friday, the former lawmaker who represented Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, however, expressed optimism that a new Nasarawa was possible, “if all hands arenon deck.”
He argued in a statement that the PDP government would have offered good governance, if it were in power, hence, the forthcoming general election was an opportunity for the people of Nasarawa to decide otherwise.
The statement read: “Truth be told, the APC led government especially in Nasarawa State has failed to deliver on it’s campaign promises to the people.
After 3 years in office, the governor seems to be experimenting on the right approach to governance.
“2023 is around the corner and it provides us with an opportunity to elect credible individuals to pilot our affairs.
“The people of Nasarawa State regardless of religious or ethnic affiliation, will speak with one voice as the wounded and deprived that they are.
“We can’t be beggars in our own land.
“And as a party, the Peoples Democratic Party in the state is working round the clock to ensure that our party unseats the APC government come 2023.
“We will team up in the end to support any candidate who will emerge as the Party flag-bearer.
Enough is enough of the lies!
“Enough is enough of the nepotism!!
Enough is enough of the embezzlement and corruption!’
