Eid-el-Fitr: Be prayerful for Nigeria, Reps aspirant, Oboigbe, urges muslim faithful
A female aspirant of the Akoko Edo Federal Constituency under the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC), Princess Joy Aina Akande Oboigbe has urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons learnt during the holy month of Ramadan and remain responsible, steadfast and prayerful to the country.
She gave the admonition in her goodwill message to mark the celebration of the 2022 Eid-el-Fitr to the people of Akoko edo Federal Constituency at her Abuja residence, saying the occasion should be used to reflect on their relationship with Allah (SWT).
According to her “We give all thanks and praises to Almighty Allah (SWT) for making it possible for us to join our Muslim brothers and sisters across the world to witness and celebrate this important religious occasion to mark the 2022 Eid-el-Fitr.
“As you all know, the Eid-el-Fitr celebration formally marks the end of the obligatory Ramadan fast which is observed annually by Muslims”.
“It is, therefore, my sincere hope that they will use the lessons learnt from the Ramadan fast and continue to be responsible in both their utterances and conduct even after the Ramadan period.
“The Eid-el-Fitr occasion should be used to reflect on their past activities and see how to fare spiritually so that they can take corrective measures towards improving their relationship with Allah (SWT) and the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
While expressing happiness over the relative peaceful co-existing in the Nigeria, the house of reps hopeful called on Muslims faithful and people of other faith in Akoko Edo to use the occasion of the celebration to consolidate the harmonious coexistence in the constituency and Edo State at large.
Oboigbe also called for support from relevant stakeholders and party members in her constituency to allow her bring to practice, her long acquired experience from the civil service. She further pray for a successful and peaceful Nigeria with a strengthened security and improved economy.
