Eid-il-Fitr: Niger NSCDC Commandant assures of safety at worship centres
To ensure smooth and crime free Eid-fitr celebration in Niger State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), a total of 1,750 men of the Corps would be deployed to worshiping ground, recreational centres and amusement parks across the state.
The Niger State Commandant of the Corps, Mr. Garba Aliyu Bature stated this in a press release signed by the Public Relation Officer of the Command, Yunusa JG Mohammed which was made available to CAPITAL POST on Saturday.
The NSCDC, according to the release, said operatives of the rapid response squad and plain cloths operatives as well as men of the armed squad of the Command would be on ground to complement the operational activities of the festive period.
He said the Command is committed to ensure the safety of life and property of citizens during and after the Eid-fitr festival, stressing that the Command would not relent in its determination to ensure crime free Yuletide in the state.
Already, the Commandant disclosed that the 25 Local Government Areas of the state would also be fortified toward ensuring peaceful celebration of festivity.
He solicited for the unfliching support and cooperation of community leaders and other critical stakeholders in the State to provide the Command with relevant information on suspicious movement in their midsts for prompt security action.
He pointed out that the Corps in the State will continue to partner with sister security agencies to make the festive period hitch free in the state, assuring that the Command will leave above board in making the state crime free at all times.
While wishing all the Muslims fruitful celebration of the Eid-fitr celebration, Mr. Bature urged the religious leaders to pray for the peaceful co-existence of the country.
