Eid-il-Fitr: NSCDC warns miscreants in Plateau to give peace a chance
The Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State comd’t Alexander Bissa Barunde has warned miscreants who might be harbouring thoughts or strategies that could lead to breach of peace and or breakdown of law and order in the state during the celebration of Eid-Il-Fitr
to desist forthwith from their plans.
The Commandant in a press statement issued and signed on Friday by the Command Public Relations officer DSC. CM Longbit said law enforcement agencies in the state will ensure the long arms of the law catch them up and bring them to justice.
“The commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command; Comd’t Alexander Bissa Barunde felicitates with all Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-Il-Fitr.
“The commandant prays Allah accepts the sacrifices of the Umahs and bless our nation with peace and tolerance for each other.
“Barunde said, to ensure a peaceful celebration, the command has deployed one thousand six hundred and fifty (1650) personnel across the state to forestall any form of disruption of peace and or break down of law and order in the state.
“He encouraged all law abiding citizens to go about their lawful businesses as necessary strategies have been put in place by the corps and other security agencies to ensure their safety and a peaceful celebration.
“He equally called on all and sundry not to take the laws into their hand but report any suspected movement of persons or group or persons to the appropriate authority.
