El-Rufai talks ‘too much’, revealing secrets to bandits – NSA Monguno
Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno on Thursday slammed Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai for talking too much with the issue of National Security.
Monguno reacted after the Security Council meeting which was held with head of security agencies and Ministers in Abuja on Thursday.
The Security Council meeting was presided by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Monguno’s concerns was at the backdrop of Kaduna State governor’s
recent comments on the Abuja-Kaduna bound train which was bombed by terrorists with some passengers killed and others abducted.
El-Rufai did say Security agents know where terrorists are; “that they listen to their conversations regularly, and if nothing is done, to tackle insecurity, he will hire foreign mercinaries.”
By that statement, Monguno said, El-Rufai has given out security tips as bandits could relocate upon discovery that security agents know their hideout.
El-Rufai said: “We know where their camps are. We know their camps, we have the maps; we know everything. We have their phone numbers and listen to their conversation sometimes. But it has to be done across the five states”
