Buhari, Osinbajo, Governors in attendance as APC holds NEC meeting after Convention [Photos]
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday holds its first National Executive Committee meeting after the National Convention that produced Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman.
In attendance are President Muhammadu Buhari, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, State Governors.
The NEC meeting is currently ongoing at the Congress Hall of Nicon Abuja.
The President arrived at the venue of the meeting by exactly 10 am, in the company of Osinbajo, the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan, his deputy, Ovie Omo-Agege, Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, other National Assembly members, party state chairmen and national leadership.
Hints close to the meeting indicated that the NEC meeting will decide on the consensus option for generating candidates in order to reduce rancour that would eventually lead to litigations after election.
The National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu warned against continued division within the party fold.
