20 burnt to ashes in Bauchi car crash
No fewer than 20 passengers were burnt beyond recognition in an auto crash in Bauchi on Tuesday.
The accident has been confirmed to newsmen by
the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi State, adding one person survived, but severely injured.
Bauchi Sector Commander of the FRSC, explained that the tragic accident involved Golf three bus and a Sharon Volkswagen vehicle which occured at Huturu Village on the Bauchi-Kano road in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the State.
According to the sector Commander, his men arrived at the accident scene 12 minutes after it occured at about 11.30am on Tuesday morning, adding that the accident was due to dangerous driving.
Abdullahi said: “Twenty-one people were involved in the crash and there were 12 male adults, five female adults, one male child and three female children.
“Eleven male adults, five female adults, one male child and three female children lost their lives to the crash and one male adult is still receiving treatment,” he said.
Abdullahi explained that the deceased would be buried in Huturu Village, while the injured had been taken to Kafin Madaki General Hospital in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state for treatment.
