Dariye’s pardon, a welcome development – Senator Gyang
Senator representing Plateau North in the National Assembly, Sen. Istifanus Dung Gyang has described the granting of state pardon to the former Governor of Plateau State, Sen. Joshua Chibi Dariye by Council of state as welcome development and a big relief to people on the Plateau and beyond.
He stated this while speaking with Journalists after attending a Fund Raising for the Re-Roofing/Fencing of LCC Nkan Kakpwis, RCC Foron Church Auditorium.
Senator Gyang said the laws of the land has room for pardon, saying even before God men makes mistake and fall short of the glory of God, but he doesn’t use that against those who comes to repentance.
It would be recalled that Senator Gyang had made a passionate demand for the granting of Presidential Pardon to Senator Dariye during the Finals of First ever Plateau North Peace and Reconciliation Football Tournament he sponsored.
The lawmaker said the pardon is a welcome development to Plateau state especially when the former Governor has served the state as Governor and the nation as a Senator.
“We welcome him back home and looking forward for a Thanksgiving for what the Lord has done”
