International Trade Show: CYMS, OY-ITC meet with project ambassadors
Many Young Nigerian entrepreneurs are billed to participate in the much anticipated international trade show in Houston Texas USA this year.
This is as the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitisation (CYMS) held a meeting with the Organisation for Youth in International Trade and Commerce (OY-ITC) to familiarise with the project Ambassadors and review the progress of their preparation for the international conference.
In a statement sent to CAPITAL POST and signed by CYMS Director General, Mr Obinna Nwaka explained that the idea of the conference is to promote non-oil export activities, boast the country’s revenue and create job for young people in Nigeria.
He said Nigerian entrepreneurs, will have the opportunity to showcase made in Nigeria talents, products and services to the global world.
On his part, the OY-ITC President, Mr Chinedu Amadi expressed gratitude to the ambassadors for their efforts so far on the progressive report and background of the project.
Some of project Ambassadors present at the meeting are, Nollywood veterans, Dr Kenneth Okonkwo and King Tonto Dikeh who is also CYMS Director of Socials and Empowerment.
The Ambassadors expressed concern on the poor support from government as regards the promotion of made in Nigeria products, local content and talents.
They expressed optimism, commend CYMS for adequate grassroots youth mobilization and also assured the OY-ITC of their commitments in ensuring that the project is successful.
According to CYMS’s DG, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) are fully aware and in support of this project.
