Kogi: Bello fires Health Commissioner, Dr. Saka Audu over alleged “massive fraud”

Kogi State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Saka Audu has been fired by the State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello over alleged massive fraud that speaks of embarrassment to his government.

The embattled Medical Doctor who moved his belongings out of the office in Lokoja on Tuesday didn’t want his exit pronounced, but CAPITAL POST learnt that close associates of Yahaya Bello pleaded for him without success.

Dr Audu has spent over six years as Commissioner for Health in Yahaya Bello’s administration and had been accused of financial impropriety sometime in 2021.

Sources close to Kogi State Ministry of Health confirmed the sacking of.tje two term Commissioner, having being appointed in Bello’s first tenure.

“Yeah, our Commissioner has been sacked and he has moved out on Tuesday evening after close of work”, CAPITAL POST was told.
