Information reaching CAPITAL POST indicated that the Vice President,
Yemi Osinbajo is hosting governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Abuja.
The meeting is taking place at his official residence, Akinola Aguda House, in the presidential villa.
The meeting, though not open to journalists, was centered around his presidential ambition,. according to sources close to the office of the Vice President.
As at 6:45pm, not less than six Governors, including Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i (Kaduna) and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) were already within the premises.
Other APC Governors seen driven in before the 7pm scheduled time for the gathering were: Hope Uzodinma (Imo); Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos) and Gboyega Oyetola (Osun).
Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola’s car was spotted on the premises as well.
There has been speculations that the Vice President will contest the 2023 presidency, but has maintained sealed lips while other contestants have been openly declaring their ambitions.
