Nigeria’s Central Bank governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele has been advised to join the 2023 presidential race on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that the most suitable and competent to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Director General, Unified Northern Nigeria Youths Forum (UNNYF) , Dr. Ibrahim Bature said, Mr.Godwin
Emefiele could trigger agricultural revolution in Nigeria to a sustainable economy where every Nigerian may be a millionaire within a year.

The group recalled how the CBN governor improved the agricultural sector of the country through N-power, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises , SURE-P, etc where both women and youths benefitted immensely.

Dr. Bature who made the call for his support as APC Presidential aspirant, 2023 at a press conference with journalists and supporters of the forum Tuesday at the NUJ Press Center, Maiduguri in the forum’s continuous consultation further enjoined youths as future leaders of the country to rally round Dr. Godwin Emefiele as 2023 APC Presidential aspirant based on his past impressive track records as former Managing Director, ZENITH Bank and current CBN governor since President Buhari came to power.

He also described him as decent and knowledgeable Nigerian that has the Interest and ability to lead the country to greater heights and boost agricultural sector among others.

The spokesperson, Aliyu Muhammad Sani noted that ,”no one can stop an ideology whose time has come. Our call on Emefiele to contest 2023 presidency is ideological”.

“The Unified Northern Nigeria Youths Forum wants to clear the air on why it has chosen Dr Godwin Emefiele to contest the 2023 presidency.

“For record purpose, our organization is a Northern based coalition, of over 40 Northern groups who have membership with their voters’ registers card in all Polling units, Wards, States of the North and FCT Abuja with the power to determine who will get our votes for the 2023 presidential election.

“This coalition is mostly made up of like-minds who believe in the unity and brotherhood of Nigeria, definitely, we have no country other than Nigeria, therefore, we must do everything possible, within our legal powers to make Nigeria the home we cherish the most.

“Our call for a private sector player or presidency from Igbo extraction is to show the political relevance of the Igbo as an indivisible, united and integral part that makes one Nigeria, under the umbrella of the federal character sharing formula.

“We live, eat, play, dine and wine together with this people, we lead, they follow, what is wrong if they lead and we follow? Nigeria belongs to all of us, we must learn to live as one people with shared and common destiny, because although in tribe and tongue we may differ but in brother hood we stand,” Sabi said.

“Our call on Emefiele’s presidency is based on practical evidences on what we are seeing in our Northern States. Agriculturally, today, our hopes of having rice factory, maize, ginger cultivation, tomatoes and other industries we need to boost our economy is gradually coming to reality under the able leadership of a de-tribalise and genuinely committed Nigerian, Dr Godwin Emefiele.

“Most of his interventions, over 37 of them are masses friendly, mostly centered on Agriculture, meaning most of them are for the North as they favor the North more. If Dr Godwin Emefiele as the Central Bank Governor can initiate these interventions that are masses friendly and accessible directly to the common man, you will agree with me that this Gentlemen is working towards eradicating poverty in our land, working towards uplifting the common man.

“Again, our call for Emefiele to contest moving from states to states using our resources, endangering our lives, giving the present security challenge of this country, show our patriotism, love for oneness and the unity of this country.

“If other politicians can be called to run, or have their forms purchased by certain individuals, why can’t we call on a private sector player, a technocrat, an economist, who is one of the best brains in the country and the world.

“Someone we are certain will take Nigeria’s economy to a greater height, to been one of the best in the world. With boosting of the economy comes jobs, with jobs, poverty is deal away with and without poverty, the lingering insecurity confronting us shall be reduced to the lowest degree.

“Should Dr Godwin Emefiele agree to run and he is elected president, over 100 million Nigerians will be made millionaires in his first four years, Nigeria will once again flourish and dreams of our founding fathers shall come to be. This the first time in Nigeria we are trying to do something different, by calling on someone to lead us, a call based on ideology, not ethnicity, religion, or wealth but merit and ideas.

“These are ideas that will bring innovations, innovations that will lead to critical development in all sectors, laying solid foundation for our business to thrive, so we can secure our future and that of the next generation, with much hope of investment and attraction from other part of the world.

“Of course, a tree cannot make a forest, this is why we are soliciting the full and uncompromising support of the stakeholders and the entire people of Borno State to usher in their voices and call on this hardworking, dedicated, selfless and man of the masses to contest for the president of this country.

“Emefiele’s presidency will only be actualized if all of us call on this fine gentleman to bring his bunch of knowledge and experience to help grow all sectors to enhance economic growth and rapid development.

“It’s a collective call for all concerned Nigerians. Nigeria needs Emefiele, and we are urging all and sundry to call on him to run. On no account should we allow the selfish ambitions of individuals to jeopardize the future of this country. Emefiele is the future of this country, he is Nigeria’s economic reality, his ideas, innovations and interventions are the fuel to drive Nigeria to the promise land,” The spokesman said.

The Borno State Coordinator,
Unified Northern Nigeria Youth Forum for Emefiele 2023, Mohammed Salihu Danlami said Dr. Godwin Emefiele is someone that has come to our aid at the time of insurgency and post insurgency.

” His love for Borno state and our people made it possible it possible to revive our businesses that is seriously affected by insurgency. CBN under his stewardship have introduce numerous programs and disbursed Billions of Naira to our farmers, small, medium and even large enterprises in Borno State.

“Under the able leadership of Dr. Godwin Emefiele as the Governor of CBN, Borno people benefited from all these life saving, humanitarian and economic reviving intervention in Borno State are numerous to mention”, Mohammed said.

According to him,”We have been observing how our national leadership of the Unified Northern Nigeria Youth Forum are moving from state to state despite the security challenges canvassing support for Dr. Godwin Emefiele, we the Youth of Borno State, we are assuring Dr. Godwin Emefiele our 100% Support, if he declare for President comes 2023.

“If he fails to declare we will consider it unpatriotic, because the call is a National call for all Nigerian of like minds calling to lead to us to prosperity. Dr. Godwin Emefiele should know, National interest supercede personal interest.

“The call is call to serve.
I wish the National Leadership of our great coalition, the Unified Northern Nigeria Youth Forum for Emefiele 2023 and all our delegates from various Local Government of Borno State, distinguished stakeholders, youth leaders and women Leaders journey mercies back to their various destinations,” Mohammed added.
