2023: Group inaugurates digital campaign secretariat in Abuja

A group, ‘Project Beyond 2023’, working to advance the cause of the ex-governor of Lagos and a 2023 presidential aspirant, Ahmed Bola Tinubu on Friday inaugurated a digital secretariat in Abuja.

Former governor of Borno State and Senator, Kashim Shettima performed the brief ceremony of the digital secretariat in support of the 2023 presidential interest of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The Federal lawmker representing Borno Central Senatorial district speaking at the ceremony expressed confidence that the centre would properly promote political that will ensure the enthronement of Tinubu as president in 2023.

According to him, the presidential interest of the APC National leader would be digitally driven in order to reach the youth who are a critical mass when it comes to election participation.

He said, “Ours is a young country, with about 70 per cent below the age of 35 years and most are digital-oriented. So, the digital platform is the best means of reaching the mass of Nigerian public. I believe this will be a major driving force to promote and realise the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The presidential bid of Asiwaju will be driven by digital instruments at our disposal. We believe that this (digital secretariat) is a veritable tool for adding value to the presidential aspiration of our principal.”

The former governor submitted that Tinubu remain a man of ideas that would give credence to good governance and economic diversification, and tolerant of dissenting opinions.

He expressed optimism that Tinubu-led presidency will continue the good works of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Director General of the centre, Barrister Rilwan Okpanachi, said the group aimed to promote the presidential aspiration of Tinubu through an all-inclusive strategic and impressive issue-based campaign, and to deliberately engage, canvass, convince and mobilize men, women, youths, professionals, traders, and artisans towards ensuring their active massive support for him.
