2023: Plateau APC committed to provide aspirants with level playing field

The APC Chairman of Plateau State Hon. Rufus Bature has assured governorship aspirants of the APC that the party will provide a level playing field ahead of the 2023 elections.

Bature said the party will not discriminate any aspirant in the State that want to contest any position in the 2023 general election.

Change of Name

He stated this at the party Secretariat Jos when one of gubernatorial aspirants, Mr Sunday Garba Biggs visited him at the party to declare his intention to contest the 2023 governorship election in the state.

The Chairman said the party would advise and guide the aspirants to play by the rules as a disciplined party, but would allow the people to make their choice during the primary election in order to produce the best candidate for the party.

Bature urged the aspirants to be sincere, honest and act with the fear of God during their campaigns, saying the party will give equally opportunities to all aspirants.

Earlier the Governorship aspirant who is also the Permanent Secretary Governors office Jos Mr Sunday Biggs while declaring his intention at the Party office said after seeking the face of God, and having carried out extensive consultations with family and friends, elders of APC and other key stakeholders, decided to inform the state executives of the APC about his decision to secure the gubernatorial ticket of the APC with a view to run for the office of Governor of Plateau State in 2023.

Biggs pledge to focus towards Enhancing peace and security, Agricultural development, Solid minerals development and mining
and Social service delivery and critical infrastructure.

He said his campaign team has resolve with determination to foster unity of purpose and with a view to reposition Plateau state on the path of greatness

“We will rebuild the trust of our people in government by raising a new generation of leaders that are competent and adequately prepared to rise up to the challenges of the 21st century. The idea is to establish a dynamic government of action that will pursue the growth and development of our dear state with doggedness, determination and conviction”.
