Nigerian Senator contesting Kaduna governorship tell APC Exco to send account numbers ahead of party primary
Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Uba Sani has openly requested for account numbers from party executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kaduna so that he can send money to them individually.
Sani who is a governorship aspirant made the request during a meeting with party executives over the weekend in Kaduna.
The lawmaker made the request early enough ahead of time in anticipation that he will be facing other strong and more popular aspirants in the Kaduna governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress.
While interacting with party executives in Hausa, Uba said: “I am the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, send me your account number, I will send you money.”
Ubani Sani who is a first timer to the Nigerian Senate in the 9th National Assembly last week declared interest to contest Kaduna State governorship in 2023 general election.
Kaduna is currently governed by Mr Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai on the platform of APC and he is completing his second term of office in 2023. Governorship in Kaduna State is widening by the day even as Senator Uba Sani is working hard to hold grip of party executives.
