A Non-governmental Organisation ‘Source of Hope Foundation in collaboration with Late Agbo Mike family have donated instructional materials to Keana South primary school in Keana Local government Area.
Speaking in an interview at the venue of the disbursement, founder of Source of Hope Foundation, Mrs. Asibi Omeri Ogabo told our correspondent that the foundation in its usual manner distributed school materials to those that cannot afford to buy.
“What we distributed was uniforms, shoes, books etc, other Instructional items as part of our contributions towards enhanced learning culture among children from poor background.
“We normally do that year in year out with a view to help the less privileged school children just like I have mentioned earlier. He added.
“You can see it to yourself that this children are happy when they received the materials as they are here in school to learn and most of them are without uniforms, shoe nor books to read.
The retired Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Ogabo further explained that the pupils situation has become sympathetic and if they are not fully integrated, it will be difficult to meet up with their studies.
She lamented that how can a child without books how can they write? a times they filled inferior based on this they will not focus for them to able to learn appropriately.
“In this direction the family of Agbo Omeri have decided to join hands with Source of Hope Foundation with some of the materials we disbursed to such less privileged children and put smile in their faces.
She revealed that mission of the foundation is to expand its gesture to other schools, but due to lack of available resources it has tied us down.
She used the medium to call on well to do people in the society to assist, foundation with writing materials, uniforms, and other things so that we can reach to other less privileged children.
“The less privileged children are orphans and those that their parents are down financially and they cannot afford even three square miles in their homes talk more of providing, needed school items for their children.
The source of Hope Foundation insisted that scarcity of funds compelled them to limit the distribution of the materials to only Keana South Primary school.
“Why we choose Keana South Primary school was that only Keana South recognized the family of Agbo Omeri. They named a particular structure after him following his selfless contributions to the society.
