Former Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial district, Victor Umeh has given an eye witness account of scuffle between wife of the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Mrs Chukwuebele Obiano and widow of the deceased warlord, Mrs Bianca Ojukwu.
Umeh explained that then former governor of Anambra State drove into the event earlier without his wife. This he said was contrary to some reports that he came with his wife.
Umeh was reacting to the scuffle while speaking on Arise Television.
He said: “Former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, drove into the event venue, but we noticed that he did not come with his wife after he alighted from his vehicle.
“He then exchanged pleasantries with people at the ceremony before seating.
Umeh said the deputy had already been sworn-in,.while Soludo was about to take the oath of office when Mrs Obiano suddenly drove into the event.
Continuing he said: “However, the former first lady did not sit next to her husband, as she sat somewhere else. We observed the strange situation.
“Eventually, the former first lady left where she was seated and walked to Bianca Ojukwu before starting the verbal abuse. I was among the people who tried to intervene.”
