2023: Ex-Chief of Air staff vow to unseat governor Bala in 2023
The former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Saddique Abubakar said his All Progressives Congress-led government will be all inclusive, if he unseats governor Bala Mohammed in 2023 general election.
Air Marshal Abubakar had indicated to contest for Bauchi State Governorship election in 2023 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
CAPITAL POST recalled that Air Marshal Abubakar was appointed Ambassador to Chad immediately after his retirement by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Contesting Bauchi governorship will be the first time he was making foray into politics, but speaking in Bauchi on Monday, he told his supporters that he was looking up to Allah for the election.
He claimed to have been sued in Court to come and contest governorship in 2023 by his supporters and stakeholders in the Bauchi APC, while he expressed hope that he will win.
According to him, he will ensure that he spread projects equitably across the State if he becomes governor of Bauchi State.
“To make life meaningful for the people and commended the people of the area for their support,” he Said.
He urged Bauchi people to be united and support APC, stating that he will not sideline anybody during his administration.
He also appealed to citizens irrespective of their political, religious or ethnical differences to come together and support the APC led federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari.
On his part, Alhaji Salisu Barau, Chairman Media and Publicity of Air Marshall Saddique campaign organization said Abubakar is in the state to pay a condolence visit to many communities across the state.
