Forum organises luncheon to unite indigines
The Muri Progressive Forum (MPF), organized a lunch and interactive session for the Muri indigenes on Saturday at Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation Conference Hall Kaduna.
The event, which had a good number of Muri Indigenes and dignitaries in attendance, was organized to foster unity and progress amongst them. Muri consists of 8 Local Government Areas; Bali, Gassol, Karim Lamido, ArdoKola, Lau, Yorro and Zing.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Col Yusuf Bako (rtd), said: “The purpose of this event is to bring together all Muri Indigenes, irrespective of tribal, cultural, political and religious inclination for the purpose of fostering unity, progress and development.
A paper was presented by Prof. Tukur (Dan Iyan Mutum Biyu), with the theme ” MURI YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW.. PROSPECTS AND CHALLENGES.
A bigger event where Muri Indigenes will have a get together is expected to take place in Jalingo soon.
