Anambra pastor arrested at Lagos airport with hard drugs on way to 3-week crusade in Nairobi [Photos]
The eagle-eyed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a popular Nigerian pastor with 54 sticks of hard drugs at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos.
The pastor who is the General Overseer of Christ Living Hope Church, Rev. Ugochukwu Emmanuel Ekwem based in Isuaniocha Mgbakwu Road in Awka, Anambra was arrested while attempting to travel for a crusade with the illicit drugs wrapped around his body.
The pastor also has two of his branches located in Abuja and Lagos.
He has made a confessional statement after he was nabbed at the airport on Monday, 7th March, during the outward clearance of passengers on Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi via Addis Ababa.
Pastor Ekwem tested positive to cannabis.
In the preliminary interview, he admitted that he packed that quantity of illicit substance on his body to use during his three weeks crusade in Kenya.
gathered that Ekwem will be subsequently charged to court to answer for his crimes.
