Senator representing Plateau North in the National Assembly and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence, Sen Istifanus Dung Gyang has been awarded for his exceptional and quality representation at the Senate.
Gyang in a press statement issued by his Media Aide Pam Gwom said he has continued to attract honours and recognition from different quarters.
According to the statement, he said the latest award is that of Taroh Lawyers Arena who bestowed the “Award of Courage and Outstanding Representation for the People of Plateau State” on the people’s Senator.
“Of recent, Senator Gyang, who represents Plateau North Senatorial Zone, bagged an award from Daily Asset Newspaper, as the “Legislator of the Year Award”. Also, he emerged the “Best Performing Senator of the Year” in Plateau Man of the Year Award series, and the “Most Responsive Senator of the Year” by City Watch Magazine, Lagos.
The Taroh Lawyers award was presented by a delegation including Barristers T. V. Ramnap, S. P. Ndam, S. M. Gonji, T. N. Timkat, Kingsley Isa and A. P. Sambo who were at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
Barr. Pirfa Ndam, Leader of the delegation of the Lawyers while presenting the award, described Senator Gyang as a dogged, courageous and outstanding leader who boldly gives voice to issues and concerns of Plateau people in the Senate. He appreciated the Senator’s passion for results and impactful contributions to his constituents and for making Plateau State proud in the National Assembly.
On his part, Senator Gyang thanked the Taroh Lawyers for finding him worthy to receive the prestigious award stating that he cherished it dearly coming from a group of well informed, enlightened and learned gentlemen.
He added that the gesture would spur him to do more and deliver maximally on the mandate given to him by God through the people.
