Ex-Kogi Federal lawmaker, Karimi denies crisis in APC, urges party faithfuls to remain steadfast
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former member of the House of Representatives from Kogi State, Hon Karimi Sunday Steve on Monday declared that there was no crisis in the party as being made to believe in some quarters, saying that rather the party is waxing stronger on daily basis.
This was contained in a statement made available to news men in Abuja.
He pointed out that such perceived crisis was the imagination of the party’s detractors
According to him, “my attention has been drawn to statements by members of the major opposition Party (PDP) rejoicing that there is a crisis currently rocking the All Progressives Congress.
” I wish to state without any equivocation that APC remains a united, strong and virile political party, properly positioned for victory in the next election.
“What is currently going on in the ruling APC is normal in any big political party, with goodwill and high chances to retain power in the general election. This is because of the popularity of the party and the believe that whoever becomes the party’s flag-bearer or controls the machinery of party leadership would either likely emerge victorious at the general polls or would play critical roles in power sharing in the next general election.
“I hereby enjoin all party members to remain steadfast and committed to our great party as we draw nearer to the general election where our great party will consolidate on its past victory in the last general election and choose leaders at all levels that will improve the welfare and security of our great Republic.
“I advise all party men and women to remain steadfast and not be distracted by negative media sponsored by detractors of our great party”.
