NDLEA nabs female drug lord, recovers 6kg
The National Drug Law Enforcement of operatives have a female drug lord, Mrs Sherifat Kehinde Lawal and six others.
The operatives recovered 5,862 kilogrammes of illicit drugs which include loud and codeine in Patey Lagos Island.
The Agency’s Spokesman, Femi Babafemi in a statement on Saturday revealed names of others to include.
Ahmed Yisau, Solomon Alape, Olayemi Akinola, Salami Qudus, Bakare Rafiu, Rose Samson, Yusuf Rofiat, and Chukwudi Egon.
According to him, the operatives carried out a sting operation after intelligence and surveillance in Osho, Gambari, and Beecroft streets.
The agency said, “the cartel in the axis” mobilized hoodlums who attacked the operatives with stones, bottles, and guns to prevent arrest.
The operatives discovered that Gambari street is the home of the drug kingpin.
“The operatives were able to tactically defend themselves, took the suspects and exhibits away”, it added.
NDLEA Chairman, Buba Marwa commended the officers and men of the Lagos Command for their resilience.
