I desire to empower my constituents, says Senator Prof. Nora Dadu’ut
Senator representing Plateau South in the National Assembly, Professor Nora Ladi Dadu’ut has said her desire is to continue to empower majority of her constituents who are farmers in agriculture to boost the economic development of the Senatorial District.
Dadu’ut stated at the weekend in Shendam Local government of the state where she distributed agricultural equipment worth millions of Naira to over 600 of her constituents.
“My prime responsibility and desire as a Lawmaker is to add value to the livelihood of the people and communities of Southern Senatorial District”.
She added that the agricultural empowerment is as result of the high percentage of farmers in the Plateau Southern Senatorial Zone of the State.
Our Correspondent reports that the items distributed included several power tillers, motorcycles, tricycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, Knapsack and water pumps for dry season farming to several farmers, among other items.
Dadu’ut said the gesture is her own way of showing appreciation to her constituents for finding her worthy to represent them in the senate.
The Senator who called on all her constituents and the people of the state to support the Simon Lalong led administration stressed that she has enjoyed tremendous support from them and this has inspired her to do more for them.
The lawmaker appreciated the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal government for his economic policies stressing that her prima responsibility and desire is to add value to the livelihoods of the people and communities of Plateau Southern Senatorial district .
First lady of Plateau state Mrs Regina Lalong who was represented at the occasion by the Commissioner of Women Affairs Hon. Mrs Rebecca Sambo lauded Senator Daduut for the good representation at the National Assembly.
She pledge her support to the Senator in order for her to continue to provide dividends of democracy to the people of the Senatorial district.
The Senator had earlier donated 20 laptop computers to unemployed graduates she recently trained on ICT in her Senatorial district.
