Sen. Gyang applauds colleagues for new Jos Law School campus, expects Rep members speedy concurrence
Senator representing Plateau Northern Senatorial District in the National Assembly, and Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Defence, Sen. Gyang has commended his colleague Senators for demonstrating the spirit of fairness, equity and inclusivity in approving an amendment to the report of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, leading to the inclusion of Jos as one of the locations for the proposed six new Law School Campuses across the Federation.
Senator Gyang in a press statement signed and issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Protocol Hon. Musa Ibrahim Ashoms urges the House of Representatives to grant the necessary concurrence to the Bill with the speed of light whereupon it shall be transmitted to the President for assent.
Gyang says he will be consulting with the state government and the Traditional institution for an appropriate site within Jos and environs for the siting of the new Jos Law School Campus.
It would be recall that recently the Senate create a Campus of the Nigerian Law School in Plateau State as it passed the Bill amending the Legal Education Act to create 6 new campuses across the country.
