NDLEA in sting operation arrests drug dealers, addicts in Abuja

Tuesday night at the Calypso garden in Wuse II Abuja was hellish for drug dealers and addicts who normally gathered late in the night to trade drugs.

Operatives of the Nigeria Drug Law Agency (NDLEA) in the night swooped on the garden and arrested several drug dealers at about 8.00pm, while a yet to be quantified kilograms of drugs were seized.

Calypso garden is haven and notorious for drug trade in Abuja, where all manner of people sneak into at night to buy and sell drugs.

In a display of courage, officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency raided the garden, and it was observed that a good number of drug addicts were arrested, while several others escaped

After the raid, the garden which is usually a beehive of activities was deserted with some of their workers going into hiding.
