Reps Deputy Speaker urges youths to get committed to politics
The Deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Ahmed Wase,on Tuesday, admonished Nigerian youth to be fully engaged in politics.
He charged the National Association of North Central Students (NANCS) who paid him a courtesy visit at the National Assembly, to get serious with politics as the present leaders won’t remain in leadership positions forever because one day power will be bestowed on the younger generation.
Hon Ahmed Wase, also encouraged the students to be serious with their studies and be good ambassadors of the north- Central.
In a statement, he noted, ” the north- central is lagging behind in so many ways, especially in the area of peaceful coexistence. Our history and antecedents are very clear, we know the contribution we are making to stabilize the country, therefore,.we should not lack in this democratic dispensation.
I charge you all to emulate people like J.S Tarka and the likes of chief Solomon Lar of blessed memory.
The president of the National Association of North Central Students, Mohammed Abubakar Wase, in appreciation, said that campaigns will be organized in all higher Institutions in the region to create awareness and sensitive the students on the good work of the Deputy speaker in the region.
