2023: Nigeria needs younger generation to takeover as President — General Abudulsalmi Abubakar
Former Head of State General Abudulsalmi Abubakar (rtd) has advocated for younger generation to takeover the leadership of Nigeria in 2023.
General Abudulsalmi Abubakar made the call in Minna, Niger state during a courtesy visit by the presidential hopeful, Prince Adewole Adebayo.
According to him, the world has gone digital, so Nigeria need young and vibrant President that can connect the country to the rest of world.
Abudulsalmi expressed his Joy at the level of youths’ participation in politics, he said it’s his hope that in 2023, youth will takeover the mantle of leadership in Nigeria.
He urged all Nigerians to support the vibrant youth like prince Adewole Adebayo who he sees as one of the best candidate Nigeria need to reposition the country especially challenges facing the country.
Addressing the journalists in Minna, presidential hopeful Prince Adewole Adebayo said his visit to Minna is to seek the prayer of former Head of State, Abubakar who he describes as a father of democracy in Nigeria.
According to him, “I’m coming out due to poor performance and the enormous problems facing the country especially the issue of insecurity.
He says, “until we correct the error of the past and the abnormality of the present, Nigeria will find it difficult to move forward as the nation”.
Prince Adewole was at Minna Niger State to seek fatherly blessing of former Head State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar.
Part of delegation is former Minister of Sport and Youths Development, Mr Solomon Dalung, former IPAC chairman and presidential candidate Mr Peter Ameh and so others.
