The embattled and self acclaimed President of ICDA, Alhaji Sadiq Amodu Abubakar was validly removed with supporting documentary evidences [documents attached].

Change of Name

Hence, a rejoinder to a congratulatory message to the governor of Kogi State, Ahaji Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward David Onoja on their two years anniversary of office which was not authored by the Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA).

The Board of Incorporated Trustees of ICDA disclaimed the congratulatory message which the former President addressed the press, while they described the development as misleading, cautioning that Alhaji Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar should further desist from act capable of pushing Igala kingdom into public opium.

The congratulatory message, they said, has its due process that are in tandem with ICDA to be authorized by the Board members. Therefore, they urged the public to disregard Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar’s congratulatory message in the name of ICDA.

The rejoinder reads:

“Our attention has been further drawn to a congratulatory message sent by the erstwhile President of lgala Cultural Development Association (ICDA) in person of Alhaji Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar to the Governor of Kogi State.

“The congratulatory message was issued out under the auspices of ICDA which reads thus “ICDA Congratulates Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja on their 2nd Year of 2nd Term in Office.”
Without any doubt, any individual can send a message of felicitation to the Governor or the Deputy or anyone as the case may be, but it must be done by someone who has the legitimacy to do so on behalf of an organization/association.

“Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar, as a removed and disgraced President of ICDA, had no legitimacy, locus and the primus whatsoever to press his message to the Governor under the aegis of ICDA!

“I have done further research and have found out that it is no longer news that Alhaji Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar ceased to be President of ICDA precisely on the 23rd July, 2020 at the behest of the Board of Trustees of ICDA. Of course, which decision was unanimously made by the entire members of the board after several entreaties and appeals had been made to Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar and his executive committee to eschew unpalatable and inimical practices that they had enmeshed the ICDA in, which were capable of rocking and unravelling the very foundations of not only ICDA but the lgala nation in general.

“Similarly, the late Atta lgala, Agabaidu Michael ldakwo Ameh Oboni ll, had become overwhelmed by the unprecedentedly inimical actions and behaviour of Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar. He (Gabaidu) explicitly endorsed the removal of Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar and his Excos from office as ICDA President and functionaries respectively by the Board of Trustees of ICDA, in a letter from the Palace in ldah, dated 31st July, 2020. This action came on the heel of the Board of Trustees action ditto.

“For the purposes of clarity and sincerity, I have decided to forward here the both copies of the letters that sacked Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar from being President of ICDA.

“In the same vein, the copy of the letter written on the 4th of August, 2020 by the Legal team (Odoma, Odoma & Associates) and on behalf of the Board of Trustees of ICDA to the CAC, notifying them of the changes that have taken place in the Incorporated organization and the way forward is also forwarded here for your perusal.

“The above steps taken against the removed Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar were undergoing crystallization when the late Gabaidu joined his ancestors.
Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar, apparently enjoying the hiatus and lacuna created by Gabaidu’s transition to ecclesiastical realms, and fuelled and egged on by his handler and paymaster Edward Onoja (Deputy governor), went full throttle in carrying out as ICDA President in defiance to the earlier resolutions of all stakeholders and constituted authorities.

“Entered the new Atta lgala, Agabaidu Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche ll!
The Attah, on assuming office had immediately caused a press statement to be made from the Palace in ldah which Sadiq Abubakar was privy to, upholding the position and enunciation of Sadiq Abubakar’s removal from office by his (Gabaidu’s) predecessor.

“Unfortunately, Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar who has constantly shown and demonstrated the foolery of a scavenging scum, is only mindful and working for pecuniary rewards from his paymaster, and will not let go of ICDA, that is meant for the peoples’ culture and collective development but rather, has determined to hold onto ICDA willy-nilly to serve as a tool for partisan political interest of his paymaster who wishes to maintain it as a symbolic and emblematic grip over the lgala people for his gubernatorial ambition.

“Lastly, I urge all sons and daughters of lgala as well as all lgala loving peoples to as a matter of urgency, rise up and maintain absolute vigilance against the evil script drafted for Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar to act out and shut the door against enabling environment for any gubernatorial aspiration of any other person across the State. Sadiq Ahmodu Abubakar should advice himself to fizzle out now otherwise, the retribution of God and the ancestors will come upon him, sooner than later.

“As our people say: Akpane-ane-kikpa.”
