The Borno State Police Command has arrested four political thugs who were allegedly linked to Federal lawmaker, representing Jere Federal constituency, Hon Satomi Ahmed for molesting, assaulting, destroyed, cart away with her handset at the Restaurant of one Fadila Ibrahim for alleged undermining their master on social media platform.
Parading the suspects at the police headquarters, Maiduguri on Monday, the Commissioner of Police, Borno State command said, in line with the IGP and his management team and Borno State government’s commitment to free the state from political thuggery and other crime, “we have four suspects to molesting, assaulting a lady.”
CP Umar said: “on 23/01/22 at about 14:00 hours, some hoodlums who were allegedly link to a politician loyal to by name Hon Ahmed Satomi, a member representing Jere federal constituency at the National Assembly were allegedly engaged by one Saudi Suleiman alias Nakande to invade Zahura Restaurant at the Maiduguri amusement park belonging to one Fadila Ibrahim, a 27 year old, also a member of Police Community Relation, who attacked, beaten and subsequently destroyed her restaurant and handset value which is not yet known.
The thugs alleged that she circulated on a social media an image and write up undermining the integrity if their master.
The Police said: “The recent happening in the State over the weekend, an incident occured involving a lady, which went viral on social media, is a case of criminal conspiracy, criminal assault, illegal possession of arms, mischief, thuggery and theft”, he stated.
The CP said, “on receipt of the media circulation, the Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Zulum directed that justice should be done and the police in our usual way arrested the following suspects, Nasuru, alias Mans, Bello Maddasar alias Shabbab, Ali Fungus Shettima alias Ari, Mallam Mohammed.
“Equally, the following suspects are at large, the principal suspect who engaged this miscreants to carry out the nefarious act, Saadu Suleiman alias Kasa and others”.
He assured that the suspects who are at large will be trailed, investigated and prosecuted, adding that the case will not be allowed to be buried.
