Sadiq Abubakar Amodu: Bare-face lies of a ‘ramshackle gang’ leader

The factional leader of Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA) Sadiq Abubakar Amodu is embattled and this is no thanks to effort by the well meaning Igala people to rescue the apex socio-cultural group from gangsters who disguised as Igala group working for Igala kingdom.

Led by the embattled Sadiq, their faction, in 2019 sold Igala land and pocketed the accrued revenue which was recklessly spent and unaccounted for. Because being ICDA President in their belief is a lucrative business as they could bargain and sell the kingdom with their ally in Kogi government House for a morsel of bread.

To them, it’s foolhardy not to hold onto the ICDA leadership by crook or hook given that the 2023 general election is fast approaching; a time of booming business for the Sadiq-led. This, he could descend so low, throw integrity to the winds to lie against Dr. Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh. It doesn’t sound reasonable to accuse a medical doctor of diverting N500,000. Sadiq Abubakar Amodu has ransacked everywhere in his vain imagination and couldn’t see anything against this medical doctor than to go to the press with cheap blackmail.

Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh need no introduction anywhere in Igala land and in government and public circles for one to see exuding integrity, honesty and commitment to the cause of Igala land. Oyiguh over time has proved his strength of character which could be likened to the late Dr. Stephen Omakoji Achema, late Ajibili Urah, all of blessed memory, hence, GOD and gods will be angry to raise accusing finger against Oyiguh.

Igala kingdom has lost everything in the last seven years and no ramshackle gang should constitute any stumbling block on way to 2023. A kingdom divided against itself will be defeated even by the weakest foes.

We understand that the Atta has taken over the affairs of ICDA. Let it be so, even as he has to reposition the organisation free of encumbrances in order to move the Kingdom forward at all cost

We all grew to meet and interacted with them and witnessed their unreserved commitment to the advancement of Igala kingdom. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong, if the so called faction of ICDA were not after what they would eat that is driving their mundane stuff. Otherwise how can they be disbanded by His Royal Majesty the Atta Igala, yet they insist on perpetuating and parading themselves as officials of ICDA. Excuse me, which ICDA? The ICDA that serves Igala people or themselves.

There should be enough of mudslinging and all forms of iniquity in Igala land as there’s nothing remaining to fight for other shame and lamentation the kingdom found itself due to unmitigated error occasioned by few self styled leaders.

For avoidance of doubt a concerned citizen of Igala land wrote and is copiously reflected inter Alia:

“I reacted in my mind to the recent statement by Sadiq Amodu Abubakar to the effect that Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh diverted N500,000 of ICDA money into his personal account, and that same Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh took former President of ICDA, late Alhaji Shehu Akus to Court.

“My first reaction was to believe that Sadiq Amodu Abubakar may have told the truth, and may as well know what he is saying about Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh whom I had held in very high esteem. My regard for Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh suddenly dimmed on account of the publication by Sadiq Amodu Abubakar.

“However, Mr Samuel Enejoh helped to begin to restore my confidence in Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh when he released a public statement which clarified with proof that Sadiq Amodu Abubakar lied against Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh in the matter of N500,000. His explanation was as clear as seven up! I began to come to the conclusion that Sadiq Amodu Abubakar may really be a very mischievous and malicious character full of venom against Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh.

“The exoneration of Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh in the statement made by Mr Samuel Enejoh provoked me to do further research on the second claim of Sadiq Amodu Abubakar that Dr Simeon Omakoji Oyiguh took late Alhaji Shehu Akus to Court.

“I have found out without going very far that it was late Alhaji Shehu Akus who took Usman Onalo Kogi, and the members of his Caretaker Committee of ICDA to Court. This is the fact! Usman Onalo Kogi is yet alive to attest to this truism should anyone wish to also go on fact finding mission.

“Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh neither took late Alhaji Shehu Akus to Court nor was he ever in court with late Alhaji Shehu Akus!

“It was therefore a complete lie from the pit of hell when Sadiq Amodu Abubakar made public, as part of the theater of the absurd that he daily engages in and is known for, that Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh took late Shehu Akus to Court.

“It is noteworthy to say here that, it was late Shehu Akus that protested and fought against his removal from office as ICDA President on account of overstaying in office, and it was the Caretaker Committee led by Usman Onalo Kogi that he took to Court for the Court to give an order to stop the members of the Caretaker Committee from parading themselves as such. In the process of this legal battle, Dr Emmanuel Onucheyo was brought in as President of ICDA to stop late Alhaji Shehu Akus from perpetuating himself in office, which is the same game Sadiq Amodu Abubakar is playing now with a disastrous end.

“The press statement released by the embattled Sadiq Amodu Abubakar, the ousted and disgraced former President of ICDA, who is clinging to power at all costs, though rejected by the people but fuelled by politics, is therefore misleading and capable of reducing the esteem of Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh in the eye of the public, particularly those who just swallowed what Sadiq Amodu Abubakar wrote hook and sinker without investigation, or reading the rebuttal by Mr Samuel Enejoh.

“The general public is therefore called upon accordingly, to disregard the public statement of Sadiq Amodu Abubakar and any other one(s) he may make in the future!

“Sadiq Amodu Abubakar is an unrelenting, unrepentant and compulsive liar fuelled by politics and greed to spin lies against Dr Omakoji Simeon Oyiguh, a man that is etched in the hearts and minds of countless lgala people as a true blue, and whom they hold in very high esteem.”
