Cultists in deadly guns, machetes supremacy battle in Lagos [See disturbing photos]

Lagos Island on Thursday was locked up in gun and matchet supremacy battle by cultists and for hours the battle lasted security agents pretended as if nothing was happening.

Residents fearfully locked themselves inside their houses, while motorists who were caught up with flying bullets have to abandon their vehicles and scamper for safety.

Change of Name

CAPITAL POST learnt on Thursday night that violence erupted between Idumota and Kosoko/Oluwole /Martins/Balogun cultists, which the reason could not be ascertained before filing this report.

Source told CAPITAL POST that there were deafening gunshots for over an hour the violence lasted.

The fight by the cultists was against themselves and not targeted at residents around the battle ground as major casualties were the young boys with one seriously macheted.

The number of casualties were yet to be confirmed, even as one person was confirmed dead having been butchered.

Lagos State Police Command was yet to issue a statement as at the time of filing thia report, while the Spokesperson could also not be reached immediately.
